Two Stakes performances for Zelzal

First Group performance for our talented UNQUESTIONABLE who put another strong performance on July, 2 in the G2 Railway Stakes at The Curragh, Ireland, only denied victory on the line by a short head under the ride of Ryan Moore. Bred by Normandie Breeding’s Guillaume Vitse and all, our promising juvenile entrusted to Aidan O’Brien is run in partnership with Coolmore and Westerberg.

Only a week after celebrating a first Classic winner, our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion ZELZAL recorded two new Blacktype performances. MONONOF earned his first Blacktype when finishing third in the Listed Derby du Languedoc on June, 27 at Toulouse, France for breeder Petrus Breeding Inv. Ltd. The three-year-old became ZELZAL’s 9th individual Stakes performer, taking his record to 12,5% Blacktype with his second crop of only 32 runners to date. A few days later, Mrs E. Ribard-bred juvenile POUR DOMPTER finished third in the 1,000m coveted Listed Prix Yacowlef at Deauville to become ZELZAL’s 6th blacktype performer this season only from his most limited crop of runners.

Haras de Bouquetot-based AL WUKAIR was also part of the game with a new Stakes performance to his name. Three-year-old MAGYAR DANCE secured the third place in a fast finish in the Listed Prix de Bagatelle at Chantilly, France on July, 1st on her first attempt at Stakes level and third start only. She was bred by Haras de Bourgeauville.

Tally-Ho Stud’s resident MEHMAS recorded plenty of international valuable performances, starting with A. Lyons-bred SECRET STRENGTH who defeated his 11 rivals in a handicap race at Newbury, GB on June, 27. Overseas, ROMAN DYNASTY offered to his breeder Yeomanstown Lodge Stud a second victory when winning the handicap race at Nottingham, GB on June, 29. The following day, NELSON GAY and MEHSMERISE were both found in the winners enclosure, the first one claiming a fifth success at Newcastle, GB for breeder Gerard Mullins and the second one scoring a second victory at Jagersro, Sweden. On the other side of the planet, three-year-old CHORLTON LANE reached the 1,300 meters of Rosehill racecourse, Australia first on the inaugural day of July. Three-year-old VILLA CELINA ended-up the international collection of wins when breaking her maiden tag in the 1,400 meters handicap race at Deauville, France on July, 2 for breeders Ecurie Haras du Cadran and Lerner.

Our Haras de Bouquetot’s resident ECTOT secured a superb victory over hurdles at Auteuil, France on June, 27 courtesy of JEU D’ENFANT who was rewarded by a JDG Jumping Star when winning over the 3,600 meters of the coveted racecourse. Bred by Haras de Saint-Voir, he is a half-brother to G1 winner GARDONS LE SOURIRE.

Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY started July with two five-year-old winners, CALGARY scoring at Castera-Verduzan, France on July, 1st and OLYMPIC HERO getting the best of his rivals at Livorno, Italy on July, 2nd.

Haras de Bouquetot’s GALILEO GOLD was represented on the other side of the Channel sea with Tally-Ho Stud-bred GOLDEN DUKE who posted a third career-success at Doncaster, Uk on June, 30.

Congratulations to all winning connections!
