Versatile and consistent, Zelzal shines again with two winners

CASARES, by ZELZAL out of L’OR ET L'ARGENT (Stormy River), captured the Prix du Marais Dozet over 1600 metres on soft ground at Chantilly. Bred by SCEA Elevage CVL, he is owned by Cuadra Mediterraneo and trained by M. Delcher Sanchez, ride by C. Soumillon.

Quickly into stride, he travelled smoothly in the leading group, moved up without effort on the turn and, once asked 300 metres from the finish line, produced a sharp turn of foot to win decisively by two and a half lengths.

ZELZAL was on the mark once more this afternoon at Lyon Parilly, where CHIBITTY won the Prix des Nouveaux Partenaires PMU (Prix Jean-Noël Gabolde) run over 1600 metres on very soft ground (3.8). Settled patiently behind the leader by Théo Bachelot, CHIBITTY switched to the inside and stayed on strongly to pass the post in front.

Out of AMESA SPENTA, this 3yo was bred by Mme F. Perree and C. Lambert. Trained by Mikel Delzangles, he carried the silks of Mme Philippe Arsac.
