WOODED juveniles secure one–two in the Prix du Boulevard des Pyrénées

Two two-year-old colts by WOODED filled the first two places in Thursday’s Prix du Boulevard des Pyrénées, run over 2,000m on the Pau all-weather.
Victory went to TEXAS WOOD, a son of WOODED and TEXALILA (SUNDAY BREAK), who recorded the second win of his career. He carried the colours of Sophie Midy, ridden by Jean-Bernard Eyquem, for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget and breeder SCEA des Prairies.
Runner-up honours went to LE LEGIONNAIRE, also by WOODED, out of BANMI (KODIAC). Ridden by Clément Lecoeuvre, he ran in the silks of Frances Dakers for trainer Charles Gourdain and breeder Jedburgh Stud.
