ZELZAL added a new Stakes winner to his growing tally on Thursday evening as ZAKHAROVA proved strongest in the Darley Prix Joubert LR at ParisLongchamp, defeating her elders over 2,800 metres. It was a third blacktype performance for the progressive three-year-old filly, who becomes the eleventh individual Stakes winner for her sire.
Racing in the colours of her trainer François Belmont and partnered by César Belmont, ZAKHAROVA was bred by Scuderia Micolo SNC. She is out of Diva Cattiva, a daughter of Lujain, and showed her stamina reserves to assert late in the straight.
With this performance, ZELZAL continues his excellent season, adding another blacktype to a record that already includes six Stakes performers in 2025.
Congratulations to her connections!
