Zelzal’s Schuman strikes at Angers

SCHUMAN, a three-year-old colt by ZELZAL out of VRAIMENT ROUGE (RED RANSOM), scored on Monday at Angers in the Prix Luna Wells, a 1,350-metre contest run on soft ground. He carried the silks of his breeder and owner, Hyperion SARL.

Breaking well, the Florent Monnier-trained runner was held up in the second tier of the field. Asked for an effort turning for home, he produced a sustained run down the outside to assert and secure a clear two-length success.
