8th two-year-old winner for Armor
ARMOR’s highly effective second crop added another winner to its tally as SHIBUYA became his eighth individual two-year-old winner of the season from just 20 runners.
The two-year-old filly landed the Prix Kalymnos, a 1,100-metre maiden at Salon-de-Provence, on her third career start. Ridden by Stéphane Pasquier for trainer Nicolas Caullery, she secured the victory after showing promise on her previous appearance when finishing third over 1,200 metres at Deauville in August.
Bred by Ecurie Haras de Saint Vincent and racing in the colours of SCEA Haras des Forêts, SHIBUYA is out of Tokyo, a daughter of leading broodmare sire Dark Angel.
Her victory further strengthens the figures behind ARMOR’s second crop, with 40% of his 20 juvenile runners this season now winners. Among them, ARMOR SUPREME and VALENTINA BELLA are both Blacktype winners, while BIG JET PLANE recently became his third Blacktype performer of the generation when runner-up in the Prix Arqana - Critérium de l’Ouest L. at Craon.
With eight individual winners and three Blacktype performers emerging from only 20 two-year-old runners, ARMOR’s second generation continues to underline the remarkable efficiency that has characterised his 2026 season.
