Group victories for Zelzal & Toronado

Our Haras de Bouquetot-based ZELZAL celebrated his second Group winner this week, courtesy of three-year-old DOLCE ZEL who secured with plenty of determination the G3 Florida Oaks on March, 12 at Tampa Bay Down, USA on her first American appearance and third career-start only.

On the very same very day, TORONADO was honored with a 9th individual Group winner with SHELBY SIXTYSIX landing the G3 Maurice McCarten Stakes at Rosehill, Australia, after finishing runner-up two weeks ago in the G2 Hyland Race Colours Challenge Stakes.

Additional victories for our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion included a double of winners on March, 10 on both sides of the planet, with three-year-old TOROPEAK coming home first in Australia at Racing.com Park and Sheikh Khalid Bin Ali Al Khalifa-bred VERTICE defeating 10 rivals in England at Southwell. Down-under, BELTORO opened his winning account at Bendigo on March, 11 and in Hong-Kong, RICVELO secured his second consecutive victory on March, 13 over the 1,600 meters of Kranji racecourse.

From their headquarters at Tally-Ho Stud, both MEHMAS and GALILEO GOLD celebrated new weekly successes. Undefeated four-year-old MEHMAS’ CHEZ PIERRE bred by SCEA des Prairies and Ecurie de Castillon secured his fourth victory on his first start in the USA on March, 9 at Tampa Bay Downs. He was followed-up by three-year-old ENLIGHTENMENT who lost her maiden tag at Wolverhampton, UK on March, 12 for breeder John Lyons. GALILEO GOLD’s tally of victories included this week three-year-old NASIM who made a winning seasonal comeback at Southwell, UK on March, 10 and SHE’S EVAPORUST who claimed a second victory on March, 11 at Fontainebleau, France for breeders Tiger Bloodstock and Tally-Ho Stud.

Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY had two scorers in Italy, with MILANOLIGHT crossing the finish line first on March, 9 at Varese and DORICO getting the best of his rivals on March, 12 at Napoli.

Congratulations to all connections!
