It was a new collection of international winners for our Haras de Bouquetot-based TORONADO, including three victories celebrated on the same day at Ballarat, Australia. On February, 27, three-year-old MORPURGO broke his maiden tag over 2,600 meters, four-year-old UNIQUELY secured his second consecutive win over 2,000 meters and a few minutes later, five-year-old INTELLECTIVE was making a winning return to the competition over 1,400 meters.
Also this week, five-year-olds SHELBY SIXTYSIX and ZORRO’S DREAM were both back in the winners’ enclosure on February, 26, the first named crossing the finish line first in a handicap at Randwick, Australia while ZORRO’s DREAM got the best over his rivals at Morphettville, Australia. TORONADO's australian festival of victories ended with ELUDING and JEKYLL’N’HYDE, both winners on multiple occasions and respectively scorers at Sandown on February, 24 and at Moonee Valley on February, 25.
More victories celebrated for our colours this week with MHAJIM showing impressive at Lingfield Park, UK to break his maiden in style on February, 25 with an easy win by over 8 lengths. Entrusted to John and Teddy Gosden, he was ridden to victory by Robert Havlin.
Tally-Ho Stud-based stallions GALILEO GOLD and MEHMAS both celebrated new winners this week. GALILEO GOLD’s three-year-old SISTER BRIDGET opened her winning account on February, 25 at Dundalk, UK for breeder A. McLoughlin. MEHMAS had a double of scorers on February, 21 with three-year-old PANDEMIC PRINCESS securing her second career-success at Dundalk, UK for breeders Kirsty and Sarah Connell and MILLION REASONS collecting a second consecutive win at Newcastle for breeder Yasmeena Partnership. In Italy, CHEMEH was the third winner of the week for MEHMAS when coming home first on February, 26 at Siracusa.
Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY celebrated victories on both sides of the Channel sea, starting with a second consecutive success for Rosetown Bloodstock Ltd-bred ATHMAD on February, 21 at Newcastle, UK, his eight career-win in total. In France, Ecurie Pandora Racing and A. Mouknass-bred SHOWERSOFBLESSING was honored for the 6th time when winning a handicap race at Lyon-la-Soie on February, 27.
