Ending march with victories

MEHMAS closed out the month of March with successes, including two-year-old MISTER CHANG who broke his maiden tag by 4 lengths on his first start at the Lion d'Angers, France on March, 31 for Indivision Terrichang 2022. His three-year-old generation was also honored with a new Italian victory for AMOREVOLE at Rome on March, 29 and a third consecutive success across the Channel for MAMALOUKA on March, 23 at Wolverhampton for Joseph and Adrian Reid. Five-year-olds GEOPOLITIC and MAKALU triumphed on both sides of the Channel, the former taking the advantage over thirteen rivals on March, 24 in France at Lyon-La Soie for M. O’Mahony while MAKALU made a successful seasonal comeback on March,26 at Southwell, GB to notch a fourth success for breeder Kevin Fox.


Our stallion AL WUKAIR was also celebrated with his three-year-olds, CITY OF GOLD and BORGHAL both breaking their maiden tags in France. Bred by Boisnard and R. Lepeau, the former prevailed on March, 23 at Senonnes while BORGHAL crossed the finish line first on his third outing on April 1st at Machecoul for the Ecurie Cerdeval. EARL Touchstone-bred KOURAL joined the fray with a victorious return to competition on March, 21 at Saint-Cloud, France.


OLYMPIC GLORY notched up four victories in three different countries from his headquarters at Haras de Bouquetot, starting with GRIFFE DE CHAT who triumphed over the 1,700 italian meters in Siracussa on March, 23. Down-under, MILETUS defeated his rivals over the 1,600 meters of Bendigo, while YOUNG HENRY recorded a victory a few kilometers further over the 1,800 meters of Rockampton. In France, GOT FROST secured his fourth career-win over the 2,000 meters of Compiègne for Haras de Trelis.


ZELZAL concluded the month with URBAN WELLS who came home first over the 2,300 meters of Tarbes, France on March, 31 for breeder MJ Harte. The new month started with a 1-2 at Fontainebleau, France on April, 2 for our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion with Jean-Pierre Dubois-bred AVERSA crossing the finish line first for a second career-win and ML, M. and J. Collet-bred SHEHNA finishing close runner-up.
