Second Stakes victory for Galileo Gold

GALILEO GOLD has more Stakes scorers to his tally than any other European first-crop sire and celebrated a second Stakes victory with Epona Bloodstock-bred SYSTEM breaking her maiden tag with a success in the Listed Empress Fillies’ Stakes at Newmarket, UK on June, 26 after finishing second on her debut run earlier this month. The two-year-old filly became the second Stakes hero for Tally-Ho Stud-based first crop sire GALILEO GOLD, and his third blacktype with Listed National Stakes winner EBRO RIVER and G3 Albany Stakes-placed OSCULA.


Our homebred AL WAKRAH offered a second victory out of three starts to freshman sire AL WUKAIR. Two-year-old in the care of Simone Brogi, she landed the 7 furlongs Prix du Vern d’Anjou at Le Lion d’Angers, France on June, 26 under the ride of Fabrice Veron. Bred at Haras de Bouquetot where her sire stands, she is out of the Dubawi mare Al Thakhira.


Two-year-old EXIGENCY headed a double of new winners for our Haras de Bouquetot-based SHALAA when breaking her maiden on debut at ParisLongchamp, France on June, 24. The precocious filly bred by Juddmonte Farms was swiftly followed by three-year-old PROSPECT who scored the 7 furlongs handicap at Leicester, UK for breeder The Souville Partnership.


Tally-Ho Stud-based MEHMAS celebrated a treble of international winners on June, 25 with Olivier Donlon-bred MARSABIT a third time scorer at Doncaster, UK, and two-year-olds YE GUD THING and BEAUTY INSPIRE crossing respectively the first line at Yarmouth, UK and the Curragh, IRL for breeders John Donworth and Michael O’Mahony.


It was also a treble of international heroes for TORONADO on June, 23 starting with Her Majesty the Queen-bred TYNWALD breaking his maiden on debut at Bath, UK. A few minutes later, HN. Al-Hababi and ZM Al-Khayarin-bred HAROUN broke his maiden at Marseille-Pont de Vivaux and PEEKABOO registered his fourth success of the year Istanbul.

Additional winners of the week for our Haras de Bouquetot-based TORONADO included in Australia an impressive sixth consecutive victory for CORNER POCKET on June, 26 at Caulfied and a first success for three-year-old HIGHLY RIGHTEOUS over the 1,000 meters of Ballarat on June, 25. VALIDAR was the third Australian musketeer when getting the best of his 14 opponents to open the score at Twownsville on June, 24.
