Two Stakes winners in a day for Toronado

Our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion TORONADO reaches 47% winners to runners and an average yearling price of over €55,000 in 2021, with already 21 global Stakes scorers to his tally. With already plenty of new victories in 2022, he sported a beautiful double of Stakes heroes this week with LEGIONARIO showing tenacity to win the Listed Prix Saonois at Cagnes-sur-Mer on February, 19 on his first run in France for breeder Mrs Be. Moore. On the same day, CORNER POCKET defeated 11 rivals to land an amazing 8th straight consecutive success in the Listed Elms Handicap at Flemington racecourse, Australia. Thid winner of the day was courtesy of MON OURAGAN who secured his 7th career-victory at Cagnes-sur-Mer, France for breeders Framont Limited, M. Matthew and M. Beaumont.

Additional wins of the week included EL INGRATO who secured his fourth career-success in a handicap race at Toulouse, France on February, 14 for breeders Castellana Tax & Legal SL and M. Delcher Sanchez, as well as DALTORO who was seen in the winners enclosure on February, 18 at Grafton, Australia.


Our colors were carried to victory this week by LAUDED who proved best in the 6 furlongs Thoroughbred Opne Sprint Cup at Al Rayyan racecourse. Entrusted to I. Al Malik, he was ridden by Faleh Bughenaim.


Haras de Bouquetot-based ECTOT extended his winners’ tally with the impressive victory of SHMALIYAH at Toulouse on February, 14. The three-year-old filly bred by K.M Al Attiyah broke her maiden tag at first attempt by three-lengths and delivered the fourth debut winner of 2022 for our brilliant stallion.


OLYMPIC GLORY was honored in Australia with the first success of Woodruff at Pinharra racecourse on February, 20.


Tally-Ho Stud-based MEHMAS was celebrated on the other side of the Channel sea with three-year-old CLASE AZUL ULTRA who opened his winning account at second asking on February, 16 at Kempton for breeder Barry Noonan. Additional winner in England was four-year-old KHABIB who crossed the finish line first at Newcastle on February, 19 for breeder Tally-Ho Stud. Third scorer of the week was three-year-old WILD PLACE who found his place in the winners’ enclosure following his victory at Meydan on February, 18.


Tally-Ho Stud resident GALILEO GOLD was celebrated with his three-year-old BRUNO’S GOLD who opened his winning account at first asking on February, 15 at Newcastle, UK for breeder Tally-Ho Stud.
