G1 performance for Mehmas

New G1 performance for our colors courtesy of MEHMAS’s LUSAIL who finished third in the G1 Prix Jean Prat at Deauville, France on July, 10. Bred by Tally-Ho Stud, our multiple Group performer at 2 secured a second consecutive G1 performance under the ride of Patrick Dobbs and the training of Richard Hannon.

Our colors were also carried to victory by AL MARMAR on July, 8 over the mile at Ascot, GB, with the Diomed Bloodstock-bred three-year-old scoring on his seasonal comeback. Entrusted to Andrew Balding, he was ridden to success by Hollie Doyle. On the other side of the Channel sea, our Jean-Claude Rouget-trained homebred juvenile filly SUBAHIYAH was back to winning ways at La Teste-de-Buch, France with a second career-victor secured under the ride of Jean-Bernard Eyquem.


Tally-Ho Stud-based MEHMAS is topping the leading third crop sires list in Europe in 2022 by number of winners and followed-up the G1 performance of LUSAIL by a Group 2 success. Tom Lacy-bred two-year-old PERSIAN FORCE landed the G2 July Stakes in impressive fashion on July, 7 at Newmarket, GB to complete a splendid tally of three victories out of four starts.

On the very same day, MEHMAS collected three additional winners in three different countries. Juvenile JUGANDO bred by European Bloodstock Management opened his winning account in France over the 1,600 meters of Nantes, three-year-old MAYTREE RESPITE bred by J.MM O’Mulloy secured his second career-victory in England over the 10 furlongs of Newbury and three-year-old FLAME OF EIRE bred by Ballybeg Stud was a first-time winner in Ireland at Limerick. MEHMAS’ international round of scorers was extended by the successes of Yasmeena Partnership-bred MILLION REASONS at Bath, UK on July, 6 and the win of CIRCUIT STELLAR at Sha Tin on July, 10.


There were more Stakes celebrations this week for Tally-Ho Stud-based GALILEO GOLD courtesy of three-year-old OSCULA who finished third in the Listed Memorial City Plate Stakes at Chester, UK on July, 9 for breeder Padraig Williams. Three-year-old GOLDANA was also acclaimed at Hannover, Germany on July, 8 when defeating her rivals.


Arrowfield Stud-based SHALAA received all the honors with two new Stakes performances celebrated in two different countries, starting with Tek Squarey-bred LET’S who finished runner-up in the Listed Pipalong Stakes at Pontefract, UK on July, 5. Three-year-old bred by Alain Jathière SLEVKA secured a closed third place in the Listed Prix Amandine over 1,400 meters at Deauville on July, 10 on her first attempt at the highest level.


Haras de Bouquetot-based AL WUKAIR keeps the scores high with his generation of two and three-year-olds and compiled a new collection of successes. Three-year-old WUKOLINA opened her winning account at Aix-les-Bains, France on July, 5 for breeder Haras de Bourgeauville, and two-year-old FLEXIBILITY crossed the finish line first at Senonnes-Pouance, France the following day, on her second start only for breeder Haras des Sablonnets. Third musketeer was two-year-old ALCANOR who was found in the winners’ enclosure on July, 10 at Dax, France on his second start only for breeder T. Rossignol.


Haras de Bouquetot-based ECTOT was also honored with the success of three-year-old SIRINO, a first-time winner at Clairefontaine, France on July, 9 in a 2,200 meters handicap race for Sylvain Vidal.


Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY congratulated Oceanic Bloodstock and Eric Puerari-bred BANNISTER at Worcester, UK on July, 4 and QUELLE ELEGANCE at Göteberg, Sweeden on July, 10.


TORONADO compiled two dual winners on a day from his headquarters at Haras de Bouquetot. On July, 10, three-year-old BINT HABISSETT crossed the finish line first at La Martinique and four-year-old OAKTREE was a scorer at Göteborg, Sweeden. The day before down-under at Racing.com Park, three-year-old THE CASSINI defeated his 11 rivals in a 1,200 meters maiden plate and four-year-old OVER BOOST added to his winning tally a 1,000 meters handicap race. Our stallion was also congratulated in France with three more winners : Succursal M. Jarlan-bred OZAN was a second time scorer at Compiègne over 1,400 meters on July, 5, Ecurie du Cadran and SCEA Haras du Ma’s two-year-old ANNA KARERINE grabbed a second success out of three starts on July, 6 at La Teste-de-Buch and Boutin’s three-year-old JORDAN BAKER was a second-time winner at Nantes on July, 7.
